The 2007-2008 season saw the 3rd running of the senior point score, run most Sundays after nippers. It was open to all financial, proficient members over 13 years of age who hold a bronze medallion or surf rescue certificate. A total of 30 female and 52 male competitors took part. Three women completed every event but no men.
The season started with a run-swim-run, which also served as the proficiency for patrolling members and consisted each week of at least 1 beach and 1 water event or an number of iron man race. Points accumulated over the season and the overall champions and trophy winners were:

3rd: MEN: Martin Frapple / WOMEN: Kelsey Clements
This competition is conducted as a fun/serious event to improve members surf skills and confidence and to act as a stepping stone for juniors to the senior ranks. As you see by the results the younger members of the club are more than capable of giving the veterans a run for their money.
Next season we encourage more members to have a go and join the fun and any suggestions on how to improve the series are always welcome. A special thanks to Michelle Lunney and Primrose for their assistance each week.
